LIVING IN THE MOMENT, A TRANSITION OF DREAMS
Dreams are series of thought or an imaginary transaction that occupies the mind during sleep, it can also be an anticipated state of happiness, to let the mind run around. Dreams can be fun and exciting, although nightmares are the worst. A person that lives a sad and pitiful life often dreams about living a beautiful phase but upon awakening to the bitter reality, the sad life continues. As fun as good dreams are, they are also distracting, dreams are often used as consolation means and ways to block the main facts of reality. Dreams often come true but sometimes it’s like living in the never, burying oneself in things that won’t come true, totally forgetting that a ticking clock is waiting at the shores of reality, forgetting that even a second can’t be earned back once it passes away. Hey……. why not pull out from that dreamland and focus on making your reality look like that dream you keep running to, Living and wallowing in your dreams is just drinking, just like taking alcohol, it makes you forget your problems and the troubles of reality but you’ll soon wake up with a clear head and realize it doesn’t solve them, it doesn’t even hide them, it only hides you infact it pushes you back to the spotlight after some time, that’s just the way dreams treat you.
Even the bad dream that makes you toss and turn on your bed in a pool of your own sweat, those nightmares that hides you from your reality, scaring you and choking you. Your reality might not be as bad as those nightmares, it also may not be the best ever but by pulling out and pulling through from that dream land and living in the moment, it gets better, cruise your reality and if it’s not the best ever, try making it your best, so you don’t have to dream and end up realizing it was all a lie. Try making it your ‘dream’. Living in the never can be nerve wrecking and heart breaking when you arise to see it wasn’t what it seemed to be but living in the moment doesn’t come with nerve wrecks and heart breaks, why have a nerve wrecks over your reality?, the truth.
A saying quoted: “dream as if you’ll live forever but live as if you’ll die tomorrow”, my point of view says “don’t dream, just do it, live in the moment and not in your dream”. Of course it’s not a crime to dream, neither is it a bad thing to have fun with fantasies that are not true, it’s fun as a matter of fact but forgetting that ticking clock at the shore of reality and using dreams as a shield, using dreams as a way to hide away from reality, using dreams as a blanket over reality shouldn’t be in the picture and isn’t all that good.
Living in the moment might also get tricky but it’s worth it. Wake up, Get up, Get out, Get on and live in the moment, because it’s so worth it.
